2017 These Walls

Five bodies. A row of seats. Dancers arrived carrying invisible suitcases. Gestures escaped before thoughts could catch them. A shoulder remembered something the mind had forgotten. Through improvised movement, song fragments, portraiture and collective drift, the performers followed subconscious impulses and became a temporary weather system; fragments of memory, impulse and half-dreamed desires colliding in real time.

Repeating strains of Les Misérables acted less as soundtrack than séance, coaxing memories from the body and unsettling the boundary between personal and collective longing.

The work unfolded through small acts of attention and affection, revealing a temporary landscape where individual voices dissolved into something stranger, tenderer, and quietly absurd.
